Unencumbered by lack of experience, imbued with self-belief and delusions of adequacy, Fringe by the Sea launched in 2008. Before handing it on to people who actually knew what they were doing, three intrepid individuals (who should have known better!), drove the festival forward for 10 years. John Shaw, with the full consent and blessing (oh, really!) of Eric Wales and Jane Thomson, lifts the lid on ‘The Harbour Years’, unveiling some of the highs and lows, catastrophes, near misses and triumphs that hallmarked the fledgling event. No reputations will be spared – those who behaved well and those who didn’t…Not for the faint-hearted.

This is a seated event (unreserved).

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 18+.

The Lodge Stage venue is wheelchair accessible.
