Discover your underwater ‘creative flow’ in this immersive snorkel-drawing workshop at North Berwick’s East Beach. Guided by a collaborative team: artist Kate Millbank will share underwater drawing techniques, snorkel instructor Laura Curtis-Moss will guide participants in safe snorkelling with tips for getting the most out of your experience, and local herbalist Liz Thomas will connect you mindfully with the nature and macro-algae through herbal recipes, remedies and reflections.
Make creative experimental underwater sketches inspired by marine life, movement, texture and the rhythms of the sea.
Ages 16+.
Important information:
Participants must be able to swim 25m unaided.
All art materials are provided.
Please bring along your own wetsuit (preferably 5mm with neoprene gloves and boots/socks if you have them), a towel and warm clothes for afterwards. A hat and socks are essential after you have been snorkelling…even in the summer!
