Step into the world of Relic, with author Joseph Coehlo, where 12‑year‑old history buff Relic Hamilton accidentally unleashes a dangerous genie from an old lamp in his family’s antique shop. His mistake pulls him into a secret society of genie hunters who travel the globe in their jet, the Aladdin, battling hope‑devouring spirits. Alongside a brilliant cast including Taya, who’s fighting off an evil genie; eccentric professor Latimer; tech‑genius Dr Raphaela; and Rania, a half‑genie teen Relic races through a fast‑paced adventure packed with magic, time twists, pirates, gadgets and humour.
Named as Waterstones Children’s Laureate 2022–2024, Joseph Coelho brings this exhilarating new story to life. Winner of the 2024 Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing and recipient of an OBE, Joseph is celebrated for books such as If All the World Were…, the Luna Loves… series, Overheard in a Tower Block, and The Girl Who Became a Tree.
