The Lighthouse Live Stage

Enjoy an eclectic mix of free live music and performance at the Lighthouse Live stage, sitting at the heart of the festival site in the Lodge grounds, and part of the North Berwick Trust Hub.
(The Hub is open to drop-by from 10am daily.  Specific act timings noted below are approximate and may be subject to change).
The Lighthouse Live stage is supported by North Berwick’s co-working and flexible office space The Lighthouse (also home to FBTS HQ!)

Friday 1st August

Formed by Duncan Grant and Keshav Kanabar, KuleeAngee is the cumulation of two friends from different areas of Scotland. Keshav from South Glasgow and Duncan from suburban Edinburgh, their extensive music taste, years of gigging in various projects and producing music for others. KuleeAngee’s sound draws on traditional songwriting as much as electronic/dance music with the intention of moving bodies in sweaty clubs and getting people on shoulders at festivals.

An all girl indie band from Dunbar, with Evie on vocals, Erin on rhythm guitar, Elsie on lead guitar and Xanthe on drums. Taking inspiration from bands such as Franz Ferdinand, Blur and Supergrass, the girls will be taking to the stage for their first festival gig after only being together a few months. Presented by ELJam.

THE REFERRALS

The Referrals are a band formed in 2022 through the Stepping Out Mental Health Project’s music group. Brought together by a shared love of music and mutual support, the group began as a way to build confidence and explore songwriting. Now, they perform live simply for the joy of it – spreading positivity and aiming to lift the spirits of everyone in the audience.

Elinor Evans is a clarsach player based in Edinburgh. Born in Scotland to Welsh parents, she is a hybrid of two Celtic cultures. Elinor has won several international competitions as a performer and composer and is the only Scottish harpist to win the prestigious Trophee de Camac, Lorient and appears regularly at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival. She teaches Clarsach and fiddle and believes passionately that music should be accessible to all.

Meet Dictator. Hip hop beats, funk, jazz and indie collide to create one of Scotland’s most fiercely original bands, who’ve already been called up to support Young Fathers. Since forming in 2019, the West Lothian four piece consisting of vocalist Michael Campbell, guitarist Zach Tarimo Goodhur, bassist Joe Murty, and drummer Allan Ramsay have consistently defied expectations of what a guitar band should be, unafraid to experiment and push their sound into exciting new territories, without ever taking themselves too seriously.

KennyHerbert is an Edinburgh Songwriter/Musician who has been working on the music scene for many years having been inspired throughout his life by the music of The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Stephen Bishop, James Taylor, Don McLean and Gallagher & Lyle. Along with his solo writing Kenny has co-written with various writers including his good friend ‘Pilots’ David Paton who produced and played on a number of his Albums. Keeping his music as honest as possible with timeless melodies and story lyrics creatively written.
