Unfortunately Jane & Fi can no longer perform at Fringe By the Sea.

The good news is that Jan Ravens will still be attending and host Ruth Davidson has kindly stepped in for the event.

Jane and Fi have sent us this message:

*Jane’s Dad was admitted to hospital last week, and as many Off Air listeners have experienced themselves, caring for an elderly parent can be unpredictable. It’s right for Jane to be available for her family at a moment’s notice – so committing to a live show in front of our lovely audience seems unwise right now.

The silver lining is that in our place, you’ll have the brilliant Ruth Davidson in conversation with Jan Ravens – absolutely not to miss.

We’re so disappointed to miss everyone in North Berwick this year, but we hope you understand.

Thank you so much – we’ll keep you posted, and we can’t wait to catch up with you all properly very soon.*

We welcome the incomparable Jan Ravens. Actress and impressionist Jan is a long running star of BBC Radio 4’s Dead Ringers and her Theresa May impression achieved cult status, going viral on social media and with over 1 million views on YouTube. She is a regular contributor across BBC Radio 4, on programmes such as Just A Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, and current affairs programmes such as Broadcasting House, The Week in Westminster and Today.

Hosting Jan is Ruth Davidson, writer, broadcaster and politician. A former leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Ruth returned to broadcasting after leaving Holyrood and co-presents Sky News’ award winning podcast, Electoral Dysfunction, with fellow Peer Harriet Harman and Political Editor Beth Rigby. She has previously presented her own weekly shows on Times Radio and LBC and was a co-presenter of NewsDrive on BBC Radio Scotland. A regular guest across TV programming as diverse as Have I got New For You, Celebrity Mastermind, The Great British Bake Off Stand up to Cancer, Question Time, Lucy Worsley Investigates and Celebrity Chase, Ruth is also a published author and has a regular column in the I Newspaper.

Ruth lives locally with her partner, son and two misbehaving dogs.
