Award‑winning jazz vocalist and historian Ali Affleck celebrates the great jazz singers of the late 1920s to the 1950s in this much‑loved show.
More than a nostalgic tribute, Ali brings authenticity, deep knowledge and irresistible warmth as she shines a light on both iconic legends and the extraordinary and often overlooked women who helped shape jazz history.
A sell‑out favourite at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for six years, Queens of Swing features Ali alongside long‑time collaborators Colin Steele (trumpet), Roy Percy (bass), Timmy Allan (guitar) and Jim Drummond (drums), bringing the golden age of jazz vividly, joyously to life.
A must for lovers of swing, storytelling and the pioneering women of early jazz.
This event includes two sets of 40 minutes each.

Backed by a golden‑age soundtrack featuring hits like Twistin’ the Night Away, Blue Moon and Just a Gigolo, this feel‑good show blends human pyramids, backflips, fire routines and rope work with irresistible humour and charm.

Triumphantly received at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and seen by over 650,000 spectators worldwide, the Black Blues Brothers have performed in major theatres and festivals across more than 20 countries and even for King Charles. Founding members of the legendary Blues Band, Paul Jones and Dave Kelly reunite for an unforgettable acoustic set, keeping the spirit of the Blues alive long after the band’s retirement from touring.

Steeped in tradition, their music draws on decades spent at the heart of the genre. Both artists have played alongside and befriended some of the greats, from Howlin’ Wolf and John Lee Hooker to Sonny Boy Williamson. Paul Jones, renowned singer, harmonica virtuoso and long‑time BBC Radio 2 R&B presenter, brings unmatched insight into the Blues. Dave Kelly, one of Europe’s leading bluesmen, adds his signature guitar mastery and soulful vocals, honed through collaborations with icons such as James Burton and Buddy Guy.
