Maribou State bring their stunning, immersive live show to Fringe by the Sea for one of the stand-out nights of the summer. Blending soulful electronica, deep grooves, soaring vocals and expansive beats.

Chris Davids and Liam Ivory have spent over a decade crafting a warm, organic style that blends laidback electronica with touches of soul, UK club music and rich atmospheric sounds.

Since emerging in 2011, Maribou State have become one of the most exciting names on the global dance scene. From their breakthrough album Portraits to the acclaimed Kingdoms in Colour, and their recent album Hallucinating Love, their music balances evocative samples with emotional depth, creating tracks that feel equally at home on the dancefloor or on a festival field.

Known for their immersive live performances, the duo have played everywhere from Glastonbury to the Sydney Opera House, selling out tours across the UK, Europe and North America. Their live shows combine live instrumentation, soaring vocals and deep, groove-led electronics to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Expect smooth grooves, expansive beats and a feel-good energy as we welcome Maribou State to Fringe by the Sea.

Support act, Edinburgh duo Sarah/Shaun open the night with a surge of atmosphere, melody and electronic edge. Fresh from completing their acclaimed Visit Through The Heavy Static EP triptych, their five‑piece live setup has become one of Scotland’s most talked‑about new forces, all big hooks, big feeling and serious momentum.

Experience the Sex Pistols’ rise to global infamy with an honest, insightful account of a group of malcontents, determined to change the music business and to attack hypocrisy and stale conventions in society at large.

Based off the novel written by Glen Matlock, one of the founding members of the Sex Pistols who co-wrote ten of twelve iconic songs on their only studio album, NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS. Glen describes in detail the mindset of the UK in the early 70’s and divulges a mine of information; Steve’s thievery, Wally Nightingale, the search for a singer, the exploding punk scene and a bleak backdrop providing a contrast to the excitement and energy of McLaren’s shop.
