Journey back to the carefree days of the 70s with Scotland’s well loved original boy band Bay City Rollers reigniting the global ‘Rollermania’ phenomenon that captured the hearts of fans of all ages.

From their breakthrough album Portraits to the acclaimed Kingdoms in Colour, and their recent album Hallucinating Love, their music balances evocative samples with emotional depth, creating tracks that feel equally at home on the dancefloor or on a festival field.

Kool & the Gang, officially launched in 1969. Thanks to iconic songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness, and Open Sesame, they’ve earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, 9 Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albums.

From Nairobi to Newark, Kool & the Gang has performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history and their bulletproof funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled R&B band of all time. A reviewer recently called their performance “a 24-karat show” and every year, even after a half-century on the road, yields a non-stop schedule of shows across the globe.

Belle and Sebastian will celebrate 30 years of ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ by performing the iconic album in full at Fringe by the Sea, followed by a second set of classic tunes.

First released in 1996, the record has long-since attained mythic status – “greatest of all time” list fixtures with songs that have spent decades populating mixtapes and playlists. The Guardian praised ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ as “subtly poetic, wickedly funny, and gorgeously melodic.”

One of Scotland’s most beloved indie-pop bands, Belle and Sebastian pair thoughtful, relatable lyrics with warm melodic arrangements. Led by Stuart Murdoch, their unmistakable sound and timeless song-writing have earned them a worldwide audience and long standing place at the heart of Scotland’s music scene.

Forming in Glasgow in 1994, Belle and Sebastian have become one of the country’s most enduring and influential indie-pop bands. Over the course of 12 studio albums, the have received wide-spread critical claim and a loyal global following. After years of busking and sharing covers on YouTube, the time has come for Rianne Downey to step into the spotlight with the release of her debut album, A Consequence of Love. The record showcases the Scottish rising star’s love of country music, with songs that explore love and loss, both romantic and familial and, on the soaring title track, the importance of putting herself first.

Rianne Downey is a Scottish singer-songwriter who began her musical journey at just 16. While attending Cardinal Newman High School, she was awarded the prestigious James McAvoy Scholarship to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

Now a true Scottish sensation, Downey has captured national attention through her collaboration with Paul Heaton of The Beautiful South, providing stunning vocals on his recent tour and winning over audiences across the UK.

Rooted in country and folk, Downey’s album also weaves in unorthodox Celtic touches, giving it a distinctive and slightly off-beat charm. The beautiful sound mirrors Rianne’s own journey as an artist, a unique path that comes to life on stage, making this festival performance the perfect chance to experience her story and songs up close.
