Put Your Spin On It: We Love Vinyl Art Call
PROJECT: PUT YOUR SPIN ON IT!
We love vinyl at Fringe by the Sea and this year, along with Orange Moon Records and local record pressing plant Seabass vinyl, we are celebrating all things vinyl at the festival in North Berwick (2nd-11th August).
We’re looking for help creating an installation of old records repurposed as artworks – which we can display at the festival site in August.
We’d love you to GET INVOLVED!
We’re inviting you to put your spin on an old record by repurposing unwanted vinyl as artwork.
- Use an old, unwanted record – or pick one up from Orange Moon Records (Steampunk Coffee, Kirk Ports, North Berwick).
- Experiment with whatever materials you want…
- Put your own spin on it – the art could say something about yourself, the music you like, FBTS – or just have fun with it. The more colourful and eye-catching, the better.
- Drop your finished piece in to Orange Moon Records by July 12th.
- We’ll then select the records which will be displayed on site (we’ll try to display them all!)
Guidelines:
- Consider what materials you use and how robust they are – the records will be displayed over ten days at FBTS.
- Please bring your finished record artwork back to Orange Moon Records in a bag and include a note of your name, email address and mobile number (or your parent’s contact details if you are under 16) so we can get in touch with you.
