Sally Magnusson:

The Sealwoman’s Gift

Broadcaster and journalist Sally Magnusson talks about her first novel ‘The Sealwoman’s Gift’, in conversation with author and journalist David Robinson. Set in Iceland and Algiers in the 17th century, the novel reimagines the true story of a pirate raid on one of the tiny Westman islands, in which a pastor, his wife and their children were abducted into slavery.

Sally Magnusson has brought Icelandic history to extraordinary life,” Yrsa Sigurdardotter.
