A double bill of two youth theatre plays commissioned by the National Theatre for their prestigious Connections Festival.

The Musicians by Patrick Marber: North Berwick High School Orchestra have been invited to play in Moscow in front of an audience of cultural bigwigs. Unfortunately, their instruments have been impounded by customs. Will Alex the concert hall cleaner (and pinball wizard fan) come up with a plan to save the day?

Sparkleshark by Philip Ridley: Jake the school geek hides on the roof of a tower block to write stories. The “lads” and Russel the school bully think Jake’s a geek. The girls think he is a weirdo who hides behind the school bins. When he is confronted by the gang – Jake has to fight for his life by writing his best story yet!
