Harry Lights Up FBTS 2021

An East Lothian primary school pupil will see his design feature on thousands of programmes for Fringe By The Sea 2021, after entering a competition with the East Lothian Courier to design the front cover.

P7 Harry King from Longniddry’s eye-catching lighthouse and interpretation of familiar sights around North Berwick was selected by FBTS judges from dozens of entries submitted by primary school pupils across the country.

Harry said: “My design was inspired by the perfect day in North Berwick – having fun at the beach with the sun shining and eating ice cream.”

Harry also won tickets and food and drink vouchers for next year’s event to the value of £100.

The other shortlisted entries were Meghan Kynoch Taylor, from Loretto RC Primary School, Musselburgh; Kiefer Nicholson, Longniddry Primary School; Domenik Blumfield, from Loretto RC Primary School (runner-up); and Lily Chater, from Longniddry Primary School (runner-up).

A big thank you to all the pupils who entered – keep drawing!
